What We Treat

Healing Begins Here
Let’s talk

How Can We Help You On Your Recovery Journey?

Hopeless and defeated. That is how you may feel. We want you to know that no matter what you’re struggling with, the truth is that there are practical, helpful solutions available to you. NUMA Recovery is one of those solutions. Here’s what we can help you with at any stage of your recovery journey.

Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

AUD can be characterized by excessive or unhealthy alcohol consumption. The CDC reports that excessive alcohol consumption is involved in over 140,000 deaths every year in the U.S.[1]

Alcohol is one of the more socially acceptable vices, and because of this, it often goes ignored and untreated. But that doesn’t make it any less harmful than “harder” substances.

According to the CDC, there are several concerning physical, mental, and psychological risks related to long-term alcohol abuse, including:[2]
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Liver disease
  • Cancer
  • Weak immune system
  • Cognitive and memory issues
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Social, career, and relational damage
If you or a loved one are struggling with excessive alcohol consumption, withdrawal symptoms, adverse health effects, or severe lifestyle consequences due to alcohol use, we can help.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

Substance Use Disorder encompasses the full spectrum of all drug classifications and substances. What starts as a prescription solution or a harmless experiment can end up as a troubling dependence or life-altering addiction.

  • Opioid Use Disorder (Oxycontin, Painkillers, etc.)
  • Heroin Dependence
  • Benzodiazepine Dependence (Benzos, Xanax, Valium, etc.)
  • Stimulant Dependence (Cocaine, Adderall, Meth, etc)
  • Cannabis Dependence (Marijuana, Molly, Weed, THC, etc.)

In 2022, more than 70 million people over the age of 12 used illicit substances, and over 48 million people met the criteria for SUD.[3] While these numbers are devastating, it’s important to understand that you are not alone.

Though there are many who are walking a similar path, there are also practical, effective solutions to help you start fresh - to build a new, healthy life. Professional treatment is essential for your success in recovery, and we’re here to point you in the right direction.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Mental Health Disorders and substance use disorders often go hand in hand. While one is not the cause of the other, it is easy for one to become agitated or accelerated due to the other. Some of the most common mental disorders observed in SUD treatment settings include:[4]

  • Anxiety
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Behavioral or conduct disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression (Major depressive disorder)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Schizophrenia

The most effective treatment for co-occurring disorders is to address each individual disorder through the lens of the other by taking a holistic approach. Holistic treatment cares for all of your needs rather than simply treating the symptoms of one or the other.

At NUMA Recovery, rest assured that all of your needs will be identified and addressed to ensure lasting sobriety and success.
