The Story That
We have to go back over 13 years to start at the beginning. Our founder, Adam Zagha, was also a partner and co-founder of multiple companies supporting clients in their mental health and addiction treatment journey.
These services range from a detox and stabilization center in Brentwood, CA, to outpatient treatment centers in Los Angeles, CA, and Houston, TX, and supportive living homes in Los Angeles, Houston, and New York. He operated high-end private pay and out-of-network services for mental health and addiction treatment care.
The idea for NUMA Recover Center was inspired by the endless stories Adam and his team heard from patients and families who could not financially afford the treatment they desperately needed. He also did not feel comfortable recommending addiction treatment options that were low-cost or in-network, as most did not meet his high programmatic standards.
Adam Zagha is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles with over a decade of experience in addiction treatment and recovery. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and is certified in EMDR therapy, CBT, DBT, and ACT. Prior to Numa Recovery Centers, Adam was CFO and the Director of Clinical Outreach at Transcend Recovery Community. Adam is committed to providing top-quality care to individuals seeking treatment for addiction and mental health issues. He also provides trainings and workshops on addiction, mental health, and mindfulness.

Adam had a vision to build a program that would lower the barrier of entry for those in need of addiction treatment. Going beyond the basics, he set out to provide top-quality treatment in a beautiful, comfortably luxurious setting.
And so NUMA Recovery Center was born. Today, we’re seeing Adam’s vision come to life in the lives of everyday people. Local families and communities are experiencing the impact of changed lives and healing people.

The Numa Recovery campus consists of three residential homes and 18 beds that make up a tight-knit community of like-minded and goal-oriented members. Each home has been beautifully renovated in a modern California craftsman style to offer a comfortable, home-like luxury and enjoyable experience.
